John Woodward, the proprietor of JW Engineering, trained as Fitter/Turner for Holman Brothers, Camborne.
In 1984 John set up his own company trading as JW Engineering.
| | Most of the initial orders undertaken were subcontract, making military vehicle spares and manufacturing precision machined components.
Several years ago John acquired an set of extremely old cast iron patterns and decided to embark on a personal project to recreate a new version of the Victorian cooking and heating appliance, known as the Cornish Range. The end product surpassed all expectations. The intricate cast iron work combined with the decorative solid brass knobs make the Cornish Range a perfect focal point of any kitchen. We can now supply, to order, a coal-fired model or purely a decorative non-working appliance - either will be the envy of your visitors. Click on our 'New Cornish Range' link for further information. If you already own an antique Cornish Range but are having difficulty in obtaining a replacement part for it, then contact JW Engineering - we may be able to help.
JW Engineering is proud to be the contractor responsible for designing, making and installing the new cast iron railings to Camborne Parish Church, refurbishing the gates and reinstating the decorative archway and lantern.
We are a small family run business, able to quote very competitive prices so if you think we can be of any assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us. |
